Mark & Kay Burkett Scholarship Fund

Applicants must be American citizens demonstrating financial need and academic achievement. Preference shall be given to students with community service experience. Students must reside in or have attedned high school within the geographic region served by the Foundation. Application availalle April 12, 2018 and due by May 18, 2018.

Previous recipients are eligible to reapply. 


Lillian M. Bailey Scholarship

Applicants must be graduating seniors of the Selkirk School District who have demonstrated good citizenship, appreciation of American heritage and the American way of life, have displayed upstanding moral character, strong academic progress and responsibility toward others.

Lucille I. Hudon Scholarship

Applicants must be entering their first year of post-secondary education, have maintained a 3.0 GPA (or its equivalent) in the last two years of secondary education, and have resided for two years in one of the following counties: Spokane, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, Stevens or Whitman counties in Washington, or Kootenai, Shoshone, Bonner or Boundary counties in Idaho. Application is made through Scholarship America between December 1 and March 1.
**Hudon applicants are strongly encouraged to include up to two (2) teacher recommendations. Please send all recommendations in a sealed envelope directly to Inland Northwest Community Foundation: ATTN Scholarship Dept. 421 W. Riverside, Ste. 606, Spokane, WA 99205.


Newport Priest River Rotary Education Fund
Scholarships and Individual Awards

Applicants must be residents on South Pend Oreille Countyin Washington or West Bonner CountySchool District in Idaho who demonstrate a financial need. Scholarships and individual awards to achieve a specific objective will be made in the form of grants to students, apprentices or interns participating in a training program, internship or apprenticeship to prepare them for gainful employment in a recognized occupation that is not prohibited under federal or state law. Such grants will be awarded to individuals to improve or enhance a vocational skill, develop specialized skills or knowledge, or literary, artistic, musical, scientific, teaching or other similar skill or talent. There is no age restriction for applicants. Application requires verification of eligibility, financial need, two letters of recommendation and an essay of unusual circumstances. Applications open December 15, 2017 and close March 15, 2018.

Bess Mikalson Scholarship

Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates of high schools in Ferry or Stevens counties, or of Selkirk High School in Pend Oreille County, all in Washington. Students must attend state-supported (two- or four-year) colleges or universities in Washington. Awards are granted primarily on the basis of financial need. Merit and community involvement are also considered. Previous recipients of this award may reapply. Application is made through Scholarship America between December 1 and March 1.
