Mark & Kay Burkett Scholarship Fund

Applicants must be American citizens demonstrating financial need and academic achievement. Preference shall be given to students with community service experience. Students must reside in or have attedned high school within the geographic region served by the Foundation. Application availalle April 12, 2018 and due by May 18, 2018.

Previous recipients are eligible to reapply. 


Lucille I. Hudon Scholarship

Applicants must be entering their first year of post-secondary education, have maintained a 3.0 GPA (or its equivalent) in the last two years of secondary education, and have resided for two years in one of the following counties: Spokane, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, Stevens or Whitman counties in Washington, or Kootenai, Shoshone, Bonner or Boundary counties in Idaho.  Application is made through Scholarship America December 1 - March 1. 

**Hudon applicants are strongly encouraged to include up to two (2) teacher recommendations. Please send all recommendations in a sealed envelope directly to Inland Northwest Community Foundation: ATTN Scholarship Dept. 421 W. Riverside, Ste. 606, Spokane, WA 99205.


Idaho Panhandle Dental Society Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be a resident in one of the five northern counties of Idaho (Bounday, Bonner, Kootenai, Shoshone and Benewah). Applicants must be pursuing post-secondary education in the field of dentistry or dental hygiene as a dental hygienist, dental assistant or dental business assistant. 


Doris L. Kenney Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be residents of Bonner County, Idaho, who are high school seniors or graduates. Academic achievement is the primary factor for selection. Students must have maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average (4.0 scale) through the last two semesters of their education. Recipients may reapply in subsequent years. Consideration also given to candidates who have had their schooling interrupted for any of a variety of reasons, and applicants pursuing their academic preparation, making a career change or retraining in a different field of endeavor. Application is made through Scholarship America December 1 - March 1.


Hoyt & Edith Schuyler of Hope, Idaho Scholarship

Applicants must be graduates of Clark Fork High School in Clark Fork, Idaho. Financial need and academic achievement (minimum 2.5 GPA) are the primary factors for selection by the scholarship committee. Note: The applicant appraisal must be completed by someone other than the Clark Fork High School Principal and counselor.


Newport Priest River Rotary Education Fund
Scholarships and Individual Awards

Applicants must be residents of South Pend Oreille County in Washington or West Bonner County School District in Idaho who demonstrate a financial need. Scholarships and individual awards to achieve a specific objective will be made in the form of grants to students, apprentices or interns participating in a training program, internship or apprenticeship to prepare them for gainful employment in a recognized occupation that is not prohibited under federal or state law. Such grants will be awarded to individuals to improve or enhance a vocational skill, develop specialized skills or knowledge, or literary, artistic, musical, scientific, teaching or other similar skill or talent. There is no age restriction for applicants. Application requires verification of eligibility, financial need, two letters of recommendation and an essay of unusual circumstances. Applications open December 15, 2017 and close March 15, 2018.
