A $15,000 Communitiy Strategies grant is making it possible for the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture (MAC) to digitize the Charles Libby Photographic Collection. The collection of nearly 100,000 black and white photographs records the history of Spokane from 1900 through the 1970's and is the most utilized research tool in the MAC's archives. As the images are scanned and uploaded to a server, they are available and accessible to the public for viewing. Copies of the photos can be purchased, with proceeds benefiting the MAC. This grant was awarded from the Leuthold Endowment Fund and the Fort George Wright Historical Fund.
